- Photography Workshop
Wednesday, May 6, 2020
6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Our beginner photography course will help you understand the basics of light and how your eye fixes lighting. How to get your camera to catch what your eye sees to produce better pictures.
We explain the intricacies of the digital world in plain English, leaving you confident with your newly acquired technical and artistic skills. You will leave your digital photography workshop competent to shoot anything from portraits, products, landscapes, travel, or whichever genre you choose.
The workshop will also help you understand your camera and how to take pictures with it.
This workshop will cover:
- Basic features of your camera
- Getting out of Auto Mode
- Basics in portrait photography
- Taking the correctly exposed photos
- Basics in landscape photography
- Direction in posing your models.
Participants need to bring a DSLR camera with ideally the kit lens of 18-55 which would have come with the camera. Any other lens is appropriate as long as it doesn’t exceed 70mm.
** If a participant brings their phone along, it will vastly limit what part of the workshop relates to them as the phones are nowhere near as customisable as what a DSLR camera is.
Event made possible thanks to the City of Sydney.
