“Second-Hand Dynamics” is Crisia Miroiu’s third solo show in Sydney, exploring a less-known candid, journalistic style of her work. On side shots, the images immortalize fragments of a surrounding landscape in a constant, rushed-up change.
Dashing through the scenes, the photographic eye, desirous but insatiable, turns the evanescent stillness of windows, clouds, lights and flares, into a reflective vantage point over the world today.
Ultimately, it captures the colorfulness, immediacy and expeditiousness of the post-existentialist world and unmasks them as refined tools in rescinding the contemporary experiencing of alienation, turmoil and meaninglessness.
